Amy Carstensen - Director of Donor Relations and Operations

After serving as the International Community Foundation’s Senior Program Officer for five years, Amy Carstensen became the foundation’s Director of Operations and Donor Relations. Amy is responsible for all operational issues associated with the foundation as well as working with current donors and the Board of Directors. From 2002-2004, Amy was the program coordinator for the Las Californias Fellowship Program at International Community Foundation for high achieving Latino high school students from San Diego and Tijuana.

A graduate of UCSD’s Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS) where she was awarded the Wyman Award for outstanding leadership, Amy brings a diverse background to International Community Foundation with experience working in Chile, Mexico, and Czechoslovakia. She was a Fulbright teaching scholar in Santiago, Chile from 1998-1999. Fluent in Spanish, Amy also has over 5 years experience teaching high school Spanish and English as a Second Language in Red Bluff, California.
