What Is Happening?
• Haitians migrants impacted by the devastating earthquake on August 14th followed by Tropical Storm Grace on August 16th have arrived at the U.S.-Mexico border region.

• Afghan refugees are being resettled in Mexico following the U.S. extraction and Taliban militant group’s takeover on August 15th.

• Hurricane Ida intensified over the Gulf of Mexico as a category 4 hurricane, prompting tens of thousands to flee coastal areas. Hurricane Nora has caused damage and flooding in 6 states of Mexico, including Jalisco, Michoacán and Colima. Hurricane Olaf, which made landfall on the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula as a category 2 hurricane, has caused significant flooding and has left many without electricity.
ICF has activated the Border Fund, Disaster Relief Fund, and Baja California Disaster Relief Fund to benefit organizations in Mexico who are serving populations who have been displaced by these three significant global phenomena.
