Arden Martinez, Grants Specialist

Arden joined the International Community Foundation in December 2020 as a Grants Assistant. She was promoted to Grants Specialist in July 2022. As the Grants Specialist, she is responsible for co-leading ICF’s capacity building program. She also conducts organizational due diligence on all grantees, prepares the board vote, prepares weekly payments for grants and charitable expenses, communicates with grantees and ensures grantee’s turn in reports on a timely basis.

Arden was an intern for the Northern Baja Food Security Project, where she analyzed, oversaw, and conducted interviews with our grantees.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from Point Loma Nazarene University in Political Science and an associate degree in the same field from Southwestern College. She also has a certificate in Grant Writing from CSU Dominguez Hills.

Arden Martinez enjoys walks to the beach during sunsets, reading books about transborder life from the US-Mexico border, and spending time with her family. She is passionate about transfronterizos, women’s rights, and East Asia culture.
