MEET THE TEAM
McKenzie Campbell, Baja California Sur Representative / La Paz, Todos Santos and Loreto
As an ICF Field Representative based in Pescadero, BCS, Mexico, McKenzie serves as an ambassador for the International Community Foundation (ICF) in the La Paz, Todos Santos and Loreto. Her responsibilities include supporting “friends of” fund and non-profit partners, representing ICF at regional meetings and workshops, and expanding awareness and support for ICF and partner organizations throughout the region.
McKenzie arrived to Baja California Sur in 2006, with NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School), where she led wilderness leadership expeditions and managed their program in Mexico for Spanish speakers. While in graduate school, she co-founded then directed Living Roots (Raíces Vivas), a nonprofit that helps incubate social enterprises with ranching communities in BCS, while promoting their unique cultural heritage. Before coming to the ICF, McKenzie served as Director of the Colorado State University Center in Todos Santos where she helped launch CSU’s first international facility and guided community engagement.
McKenzie holds an MBA, in Global Social and Sustainable Enterprise from Colorado State University and a BA in Political Science with a concentration in International Development from Oberlin College.
McKenzie is committed to the wellbeing of Baja’s communities and natural places, and enjoys adventures into the mountains and along the coasts with her family and friends.
