Sergio is a Mexican attorney graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana. He has a diploma in Leadership Training for Community Foundations, another in Management Skills, and one in Political Analysis and Scenario Theory.
He has worked for the Mexican government for many years, starting as the Human Development Director at a town hall in Mexico City, and then at the Federal Ministries of Social Development, Energy and Education. Currently, he is a member of the Mexican Bar Association, chapter BCS.
Sergio has almost a decade of experience at nonprofit organizations in Mexico such as Fundación Punta de Mita and Ilumíname, A.C. as an Executive Director. He also did internships at the Instituto Comunitário Grande Florianópolis in Brazil and at the Fundación del Empresariado Yucateco, and served as a volunteer at Canadian Food for the Hungry in Vancouver. He is a published author and, besides his work with ICF, he is the connector of Ashoka México, Central America and the Caribbean for Baja California Sur, and a consultant for several social organizations.
