Founded in 2007
Nutrition and Environment Education Programs
Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center strives to connect and motivate students and families from diverse backgrounds through organic gardening, environmental stewardship and nutrition education, empowering them to be healthy and active citizens.
In 2006, Christy Walton donated her family home and nearly 7-acre property in National City, California to the International Community Foundation, to serve as its headquarters. In 2010, ICF gifted the grounds to Olivewood Gardens to use for their program activities. Today, ICF and OWG both maintain their headquarters on the property, which offers a unique venue to support both organizations’ programs and other events.
