Juli Goff Helps Launch La Paz Community Fund

Residents of La Paz and former Spanish language students at Se Habla…La Paz may have heard, that after 17 years of operating Se Habla…La Paz, Founder and Director Juli Goff is retiring!

Although the school was officially closed on July 29th, ICF is launching an important initiative to carry on Juli’s vision, the legacy of the teachers’ efforts, and to honor the thousands of expat students whose worlds were expanded through their Spanish immersion experience in La Paz!

In honor of Juli’s 17 years of service to the La Paz community, the International Community Foundation (ICF) is proud to announce the launch of the La Paz Community Fund. This special fund will support various local organizations that –like Juli and her staff at Se Habla…La Paz – are working tirelessly to improve the quality of life for residents and visitors of La Paz and its surrounding communities.

Having spent 25 years engaging with local nonprofits through our philanthropic work in the Baja Peninsula, ICF has developed strong relationships with over 100 organizations working on issues ranging from improving educational outcomes, to increasing access to basic health services, to supporting important environmental conservation research and policies. Some of our partners in La Paz include Raiz de Fondo, Centro Mujeres, and the Sociedad de Historia Natural de Niparajá, to name a few, all of whom will be eligible for funding from the La Paz Community Fund. Please view our digital Annual Report for a complete listing of our partner organizations in the region.

I invite you to make a U.S. tax-deductible Establishing Gift to the new La Paz Community Fund, whether in recognition of Juli’s service, in gratitude to the patient teacher you worked with at Se Habla…La Paz, or in reminiscence of the impact that your experience in La Paz had on your personal growth. The Fund will be strategically guided by trusted Advisors such as Juli Goff, who are committed to ensuring that your donor dollars and our efforts are meaningful and effective.

Anyone who has spent time in La Paz knows that no amount is too small to make a difference in this very special community. You can trust that the La Paz Community Fund will be a useful tool for you, and all residents aspiring to make an impact for years to come.

If you have any questions about the La Paz Community Fund or the International Community Foundation, please don’t hesitate to contact me at: anne@icfdn.org or 619-336-2250.

With gratitude to you, and to Juli Goff as she embarks on her retirement,

Anne McEnany
