NEWS: San Diego Nonprofits Face Growing Demand For Services

There was Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, the Mexico City earthquake and the Northern California wildfires. In the aftermath of natural disasters, nonprofits are often on the front lines working on relief and recovery efforts.

In San Diego, the nonprofit sector is made up of more than 115,000 jobs and contributes $6 billion in total wages to the economy. That is according to an annual report that tracks the economic impact of San Diego’s nonprofit sector. Read the full article.
